Orthopedics

Orthopedics is the study of the musculoskeletal system, including the bones, joints, muscles, tendons, and ligaments. Patient's conditions may have developed over time, from an injury, or from surgery. Specialized orthopedic treatment can allow the patient to regain their range of motion, strength, endurance and control through guided exercises and manual treatments. Our targeted workouts do not just address the specific area of injury, but also the surrounding musculoskeletal areas. This ideally ensures that any movement deficits that may have caused or worsened the injury are also corrected. Common treatments include active and passive range of motion, stretching, strengthening, balance/proprioception training, neuromuscular re-education (teaching your body to fire muscles in different patterns) and modalities to help control pain and swelling.
